The News Hound!

Introducing Molly – AKA The Unsinkable Molly Brown – the other member of the Jade Beecroft Editorial team. Molly’s skills include barking through telephone interviews, snoring audibly during Zoom meetings, and policing the office snacks.

 

Molly has a nose for news and takes her role as journalist’s dog seriously. She often accompanies me on jobs and over the years has done everything from touring factories and providing cuddles to interviewees, to going for a paddle with a wild swimming group.

 

In early 2025 Molly was with me when I interviewed the Northern Irish Inter Regional Rally Team who were preparing to compete at Crufts. She was invited to give rally a try… one thing led to another… and twelves months later we were on the team ourselves for Crufts 2026 (scroll down for a pic).

 

Molly is a rescue – she was dumped as a puppy and diagnosed with severe elbow and hip problems not long after we adopted her. She’s now a bionic dog with a titanium left hip, and whenever I use the phrase “my diary is full” or “I’m afraid I already have an appointment” you can be pretty sure the commitment will be Molly’s physio, hydrotherapy, laser therapy or acupuncture.
